Gabriel has finally decided to start talking today and said several new words. He said "bye bye" for the first time (usually he just waves). Then he was playing with his dig-digs and put a big stone in his truck and said "rock!" He is also pointing out most of his shapes and colors. I feel bad because I feel like I never get to spend time teaching him stuff. Most of my day is simply meeting their needs - getting them dressed, feeding them, cleaning them up, cleaning up their mess, feeding again, cleaning again, wiping butts, changing diapers, answering business calls, feeding them again, cleaning up again, answering business emails, calming tantrums, kissing boo-boos, feeding them, cleaning up again, bathing.... wait, we didn't get a chance to play today! That's how I feel most days. That's why I love being outside... there are no indoor messes which means no extra cleaning and no phone/internet temptations. Yippie, Spring is here and Summer is around the corner!
