Pinewood Derby

We had a busy day today. We spent 6 hours at the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. We were supposed to go to a skating party after, but ended up skipping it since we were all pretty tired. The boys had a really good time (despite how long it was).

The boys got to design and build their own car. Dylan made his into a tow truck and Cam chose a design that looked like a crayon/box of crayons that Chan found online (Cameron got to race with the siblings). Sadly the boys cars were among the slowest cars there, but at least they both still got trophies.

"Cameron Crayons" was the name of Cam's car.
Of course mommy helped on his, but he chose the pattern and did all the painting of the yellow, red and green before I added the details.

Dylan's tow truck that he created completely on his own. He came up with the idea and did all the details. He even put on windshield wipers, raindrops on the windshield and water pouring down the back.
