Let's see, where to begin?
I'll start with a Cameron-ism:
He went to a science class today and made a volcano. When Chan got home Cam was all excited and said "I made a be-kay-no and it rupted!"
Tonight I let the boys camp out in the living room. We blew up the air mattress, got out the sleeping bags, lit the fireplace and made S'mores. I said to Cam "Let daddy take a photo of you eating your S'mores." Cameron said matter-of-factly "It's not a S'mores. I only have one. It's a S'more." He's really getting into the usage of 's' to pluralize words and he felt that I should not have put an 's' on the end of S'mores. So, tonight he had one S'more.
I'll continue with one more Cameron funny. We have those easy-start logs for the fireplace. The kind with a bag wrapped around a log and you simply light the paper and it starts the log burning. We were sitting in front of the fire and Cameron's jaw just about hit the floor. He was in complete and utter shock and disbelief! He astonishingly pointed out "THE BAG TURNED INTO A LOG!!! IT'S MAGIC!!" He couldn't believe it! The bag that daddy put into the fireplace magically turned into a log! Then he asked "When will it turn back into a bag?" He had no idea how the log got in there!
Dylan got in trouble tonight for his potty-talk... yet, I felt that it was actually very creative and secretly funny... I guess I could imagine Chan doing this as a child. Dylan said to me "Let me whisper something in your ear -- with my butt." and was just about to fart as he quickly turned his backside to me. I know I shouldn't laugh, but where did he come up with that!? I think it's genetically in his blood.
Early this evening at the library they had a free Valentine's Chocolate Tasting. I assumed that they'd have a couple boxes of chocolate and you'd get to sample two or three. I took all 3 boys to taste some chocolate and make Valentines (it was open to families). When we got there I couldn't believe it! There were tables among tables of everything chocolate that you could ever imagine. All-you-can-eat brownies, cookies, candies, ice creams, puddings, a chocolate fountain, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered everything, hot chocolate, truffles, cake, way more than could ever be consumed by a large group in one evening.......... It was awesome! The boys did very well behaving and only taking things when they had permission, but I still knew that even though I monitored what they consumed, they'd still be bouncing off the walls with sugar and caffine. Tonight while Dylan was sitting in front of the fireplace with his S'more in hand he said "Dada, you can have this. I'm already too sugared up." At least he admits it and knows when enough is enough. Cameron on the other hand, I don't think he has a chocolate limit.
Gabriel has come up with his own sign language. When he wants to eat he puts both arms out in front of him and squeezes his hands open and closed. We went to Chuck E Cheeses this weekend and met up with Sasha, Aaron & the boys. Sasha got out Emmitt's bottle right in front of Gabriel - poor little Gabriel was all excited when he saw it and his little hands were squeezing like crazy in anticipation for what he thought was his bottle. But nope, it went into the new baby's mouth. :) He just kinda looked at me like "What's going on?" Gabriel and Emmitt are only 7 months apart - the closest of any of the boys. It'll be fun watching them all grow up together.
