I feel like I haven't posted in quite awhile. It's crazy how busy life gets and how quickly the days pass. Nothing too major to announce. We've just been hanging out at home - waiting for spring to come.
We just registered Dylan for tee ball for the spring. Since he's turning 7 he's eligible for both tee ball and baseball, but we figured we'd have him do tee ball since it's his first year. Some kids his age already did tee ball last year and have the extra experience. Dylan's able to hit a pitched ball, but since he'll be busy learning all the rules to the game etc, no need to make it any more challenging then it needs to be. It's also shocking to see how aggressive some kids his age are. I bet they'll be power driving the balls at full speed and Dylan's just not like that yet. I think he'll enjoy it. Right now his current obsession is money... not so much spending money, but collecting money. Currency from other countries, rare bills, unique coins. I got him a coin album where he puts his coins into little holders and inserts them into the album. It's almost full already (I think it holds 60 coins). For his bday we're going to get him the Barack Obama commemorative coin set. I think he'll really like that. He's also excited about the new series of money coming out that will show each president.... of course we'll have to get Gabriel the Chester Arthur one. haha (if you remember, he's obsessed with Chester Arthur - still!) Dylan got his cub scout magazine 'Boys Life' and he got super excited to see that they're also coming out with some new pennies. Gotta keep our eyes out for those.
Speaking of Chester Arthur, Gabriel still gets excited to eat his meals on his presidental placemat. His favorite president is Chester Arthur and his second is George Washington. It still boggles our minds as to why he loves Chester so much. I doubt there are too many 1 year olds who are obessed with presidents. Maybe he has a future in politics. Chan heard something kinda funny the other day- As most people know, during Barack Obama's swearing in, he stumbled on his words because the chief justice made a mistake and so he had to retake the oath to make it legit...then Chan found out that there have only ever been two other presidents who had to retake the oath, Calvin Coolidge and... Chester Arthur! Maybe Gabriel was trying to tell us something. hhhmmm. Also, Chester Arthur coined the phrase "So help me God" during a presidental swearing in. It used to be thought that George Washington said it, but it appears to be our buddy Chester. And to think that we didn't even know who he was before Gabriel took a liking to him.
Let's see, what has Cameron been up to? Basically we've just been hanging out at home playing games. Nothing too major to report. I guess no news is sometimes good news. I think we're all just anxious to get outside and play in some beautiful spring weather....how much longer!!?? Cam enjoys going to school even though I still wish he had class in the morning since he gets SO tired in the afternoons, but he's doing well with it.
Some day I'll get around to going through my photos. Soon I'll be 2 months behind. Yikes. Oh well, I have a good excuse (3 of them actually).
