It all started out with kids Christmas parties - Cameron's preschool party, Dylan's first grade party and the Cub Scout party. Which of course consisted of snacks for the parties, gifts for the parties, volunteering for the parties & donations for teachers gifts. All of which was fun, but kept us going full speed.
Christmas Eve we had the Bryson side of the family over and enjoyed having the house full of people and watching all the kids run around and play with their cousins. 6 little boys... and 1 little girl who quietly played upstairs by herself to avoid the craziness of the boys. We had lots of delicious food to eat and had a great time. At the end of the night the boys went outside and sprinkled reindeer food on the front lawn and put some of Mam's fudge by the fireplace for Santa....he ate it all!!
This picture cracks me up.At first you see an adorable photo of Dylan and Jay hanging out as best buds.... then you look up and see Cameron, the little brother, making faces.
After everyone left I stayed up to clean the aftermath so that the house would be pretty for Christmas morning. I think I fell asleep around 4am. The boys were up around 7 and we followed a trail of Christmas balls from the dining room all the way to the basement where Santa had left all the presents. Santa accidentally put all Cameron's stuff in Dylan's stocking and Dylan's stuff in Cameron's stocking...but Cameron said that he has Christmas all figured out and that Santa must have just mixed him and Dylan up since they were wearing matching jammies. :) Gabriel slept through most of the unwrapping, but when he finally woke up he was more interested in playing with what was already opened than to open his own gifts.
We kept the boys in their jammies and headed to Ama's house for Christmas dinner and a much needed nap for mommy and daddy!!! After our refreshing nap we were able to continue with the Christmas activities and opened more presents with Ama, Savannah, Charlotte, Uncle Paul and Aunt Michelle.
Gabriel diving into a super-sized bowl with a large serving-spoon filled with mashed potatoes and his mouth as wide as it can go. This boy can eat!
