What a mom of 3 boys does all day....

- I fish library books out of swimming pools.

- I kill bugs that fly into ears

- I take photos of fruit to resolve arguments

Maybe I should explain....

Cameron simply says "Gabriel, put the dig, dig book into the pool".... Gabriel does. Any book would have been bad, but a library book!? I currently have it standing up on edge, pages fanned out, trying to dry and hoping that no one will notice that the pages are no longer flat.

The other day a bug flew into Dylan's ear. He claims that it was either a gnat.....or a bee. I'm leaning more toward the gnat. Apparently it was buzzing and clicking inside his head for hours. I believe him too. It was late at night and I wasn't sure if I really wanted to call the pediatrician for this one. I couldn't find hydrogen peroxide, so I tried water to drown it....that didn't work. I tried to suction it out with a nose syringe...that didn't work. I tried to douse it with baby oil....nope, still clicking. At this point I'm online trying to figure out what to do. No help. I'm trying to be cautious as to not hurt his little ear drums. I eventually got him to fall asleep (Dylan, not the gnat) and assumed that the little bug would die on it's own. Dylan woke up the next morning with no clicking or buzzing. I guess that's good news?

Cameron is a very layed back kid.... unless he's exhausted, then he's a ticking time bomb. Yesterday we were at Giant and the boys each picked out some fruit. Dylan chose a .77 lb funky shaped pear (covered with scary bumps). He insisted that he wanted the silly pear. We got into the car and Dylan was very excited to eat it. He started taking bite after bite as Cameron burst into tears...and then eventually started screaming. Apparently he didn't want Dylan to eat the pear, he wanted him to save it to show daddy. Well, Dylan was hungry and really wanted to eat the pear. No matter how much we tried to convice Cam that we could simply describe the pear to daddy, he wasn't buying it. He was very upset that daddy wouldn't get to see the pear. Then, the light bulb went off and I grabbed my camera out of my purse. Ta da! Problem solved. We had a little 'pear photo shoot' in my car (Dylan even turned it to get it's best unbitten angle). The tears quickly stopped and Cam was all smiles. Of course, since then Cameron has been obsessed with photographing food. When he was at Ama's house he wanted her to take a photo of his piece of popcorn and his cupcake to "show daddy" how unique they were.
