I know, I know. I'm totally slacking with the blog. It could have something to do with a house full of little boys.

Let's see, what have the boys been up to? Today during church Gabriel was sitting on my lap and curiously looked up my nose and loudly stated "BOOGER! BOOGER! BOOGER!" until Chan took him from me and walked out of the service.

Cameron ran into our room the other day and he was all excited and proclaimed that he had just invented something! He wanted to make a chocolate cake with crushed up pretzels, blueberries and and an assortment of toppings. Well, he never gave up the dream and has been begging to make his cake for days. Today we got the remaining ingredients and baked Cameron's special cake.... and just like any good parents, we ate it. And we came to the conclusion that pretzels turn into gummy-pretzels when baked into a cake. The blueberries were tolerable, but the soggy pretzels will have to be deleted from the recipe next time... but of course Cameron thought it was delicious just the way it was. So, if anyone would like to come over for dessert this week, there's plenty left.

Dylan has been dreading school and continues to claim that he 'hates school'. It seems as if he got the worst 2nd grade teacher at Red Mill (this is what I've been told by others who have previously had kids in her class). I'm really worried. Apparently she is very dry and rigid and puts up a wall between her and the kids. Dylan flourished with his past two teachers who were animated and fun and outgoing and really encouraged him. His K and 1st grade teachers even replied to parents through email all throughout the day, the evening and even weekends! The other day I emailed his teacher from last year and asked her some questions about Dylan's new teacher and she replied back to me at 9pm on a Saturday...during the summer! She is such an awesome teacher.... and I'm worried that this new teacher is one of the ones who does not speak to parents unless there is a scheduled appointment. Also, Dylan only knows 2 kids in his class (one from last year and one from cub scouts). To top it off we were unable to go to the 'Meet the Teacher' night (for parents only) because we were at the beach. So we never got to meet her and tell her about Dylan's SM etc. I'm very nervous for this year. Dylan keeps saying "I wish I was going to Cameron's school." Dylan would have done better as a little brother. He doesn't like paving the way.

As for Cam, he's super excited about school. I'm very happy that he got a spot in the AM class. He was in the PM and was on the waiting list for AM and I got the call the other day that he's in the morning class. Now I'll be able to drop Dylan off at school at 8:45 and Cam at 9. Perfect!

Maybe you should of put the pretzels on the top after baking it (?). Anyway.....sounds "yummy". Leave it to Cam to "invent" a new desert. Love A-ma
