It's potty time!

It's round 3 of potty time! Dylan and Cameron were a breeze to potty train. They virtually taught themselves. We put undies on them and they were potty trained. I just had a feeling that we couldn't be that lucky 3 times in a row... but we are!! (knock on wood). The other day Gabriel asked to poop on the potty. We put him on and he went. Then we just put undies on him and so far today he's used the potty every time and kept his undies dry. The first day or two that we tried undies he had accidents, but now he's really getting the hang of it. We weren't even actively potty training him, he just kinda got grossed out by his own diaper poo that he wanted to use the potty. Of course we'll still use diapers for bedtime and when we leave the house, but it probably wont be too much longer before we're diaper-free! (and yes, I mean WE... since we're the ones paying for them and changing them.)

Today Gabriel and I went to Cameron's pre-school Valentine's party. It was postponed because of the snow last week. We had a great time and Gabriel loved being able to go to school with Cam.

Dylan got his report card and is doing very well. He got 'advanced' in math again... even though he claims that he 'hates math'. They did the national testing for 2nd grade and Dylan got 98% in science (meaning that he scored higher than 98% of the 2nd graders in the US) and he got 90% for social studies. Those are his two favorite subjects. So all in all he's doing very well. The only thing he is a little behind on his retelling what he has read. I think part of the problem is that since it's so hard for him to speak at school, he tells the bare minimum when asked to retell the story... that and the fact that he's more left-brained then right, meaning he's more into science/social studies/math vs. literature/art/music.
