Today was a busy day in the Bryson household. Dylan turned EIGHT years old and Cameron graduated from preschool. Day after tomorrow is Dylan and Gabriel's birthday party, so I'll report on that in a few days.
Cam's graduation was SO cute! The kids sang songs and got to go up and get their diploma. The teacher asked each child what their favorite thing was about preschool and Cam said 'Reading stories'. Then the teachers each predicted where the kids might be in 20 years based on their personalities and current interests (everything from hair stylist to vet to video game designer), but Cameron's teacher said that he will graduated Valedictorian of his class and become the President of a University and promote excellence in education! Sounds like top honors to me! Later on his teacher came up to me and pointed to Cam and said matter-of-factly, "Valedictorian." Then when Cam went to say goodbye to her she said "I'll miss my little valedictorian". I'm as proud as if he actually WAS valedictorian. :)

For Dylan's birthday today we let him open one small present before school... a Hot Wheels price guide. Now he can obsessively keep record of his collection just like with his coins. At school he celebrated by taking in cup cakes to share with his class. Then after school I let him open his 'big' gift.... the DS he didn't think he was getting. For those who don't know, a DS is a hand-held video game system. We also let him open 2 games. We're saving the rest of his presents for his party. When he opened the DS he said "How much did you pay for this!!?" I said "Don't worry, I got a good deal." He said "A yard sale?", I said "No.", He said "BJ's?", "No Dylan, don't worry about it. Just enjoy your gift."
