I know, I know....

I've been terrible at keeping up with the blog lately. Could have something to do with 3 kids, summer vacation, the sign biz, my graphic design job for Higashi and a million other things. I want to make sure I keep up with it because it's about as closest thing to a journal of capturing the boys' childhood memories as I'm going to get.

So far this summer we've been spending time at the Lemoyne pool, playing on our inflatable waterslide, playing in our small inflatable pool and we built a large 5ft x 6 ft sandbox for the boys that they just love (900 lbs of sand!). We've also been to the cabin twice, went to Steamtown in Scranton and rode a train, went to the drive-ins to see Toy Story 3 and went bowling a few times. The drive ins were great. We folded down the seats in the mini van and filled the back with blankets and pillows and brought along a pizza, some popcorn and a cooler of drinks. The weather was perfect and we had a great spot with a clear view of the screen (after moving the car to 3 or so different parking spots).

The latest big news is the nasty stomach virus that hit this weekend: We had 3 kids throwing up for 7 hours straight (10pm - 5am nonstop) Friday night. Chan had to go to the laundromat at 2am because we had an entire mini-van FULL of sheets and comforters and pillows and stuffed animals all covered in puke - our washer couldn't wash that many loads quick enough. YUCK!! It was a very, very long night for all of us. Thankfully the boys are recovering. They're still not really eating yet, but at least the worst of it is over. I think stomach viruses are THE WORST! At least Chan and I didn't get it -- there's no way we could have handled that situation if we were sick too. Just to give you an idea of how bad it was... it all started when Dylan leaned over the top bunk and covered his entire room in regurgitated scrambled eggs & ketchup! I know, too much info, but it was seriously the worst night ever since we had kids. Chan was shampooing carpets with our Kirby (the best vacuum ever!) while I continuously consoled kids, rubbed backs as they puked, rotated who was put into a cool tub to lower the fevers.... I was jumping from one kid to the next for 7 straight hours. It was just a horrible night. I want Chan to upload the photo of the inside of the van on his way to the laundromat.

While at the cabin we took the boys to their first fireworks show (we took Dylan once when he was little and he screamed the whole time and we had to leave and so we haven't been back since). All 3 boys LOVED it!! It was a Kirby Park in Wilkes Barre. They have a live orchestra playing patriotic music while thousands of people watched the fireworks. It was an amazing show and the boys were wowed. It was awesome!

I'm going to try my best to write much more often. Even if it's not the most exciting blog for others to read, it's important for me to keep notes of what is going on in our lives because if I relied on my memory alone, there wouldn't be much to tell for the future. My mind needs something to help me remember these amazing moments!

I REALLY REALLY enjoy reading the blog! I look forward to it, check it often to see if you posted anything new. That's too bad about the boys being sick and the work you and Chan struggled through to clean it up and make them comfortable. That's another memory you wont forget.....LOVE A-MA
