Hershey Park

I forgot to write about our trip to Hershey Park. A few months ago me, Cam and Gabriel participated in the filming of a Hershey Park commercial and we received free park tickets. A few days ago I took Dylan and Cam to the park (Gabriel got to spend the day with Mimi and Emmitt at City Island and they rode the Pride of the Susquehanna). We had THE BEST time at Hershey Park!! It was one of the most perfect days together. I have never seen the boys get along as well as they did...and for so long! We were at the park for 11 hours! We got there at 11 am and stayed until the park closed at 10pm. We had a wonderful time! I was worried that there would be rides that we wouldn't be able to ride because I'd have to accompany each one and there would be no way I could leave one kid alone, but it ended up working perfectly because any ride that would require that I ride with Cam, Dylan was big enough to ride himself and he was ok with doing that. He's come a LONG way from the days where he'd freak out if a ride attendant got anywhere near him. We also spent a lot of time at The Boardwalk (the new water park at Hershey). The wave pool was awesome and the lazy river was super cool too. We had a blast. We've been having a severe heat wave lately, but the day that we went was the day that it was like 75 degrees (vs the 90+ temps), so it made for a great day. I have not seen Dylan this calm and relaxed since... well, forever. Normally he gets upset very easily, he doesn't smile on rides, he wont let anyone touch him etc.... but this day at Hershey he smiled all day long - it was awesome. He was letting himself have fun! And I got the best picture ever... it's of Dylan putting his arm around Cam for a photo. Most brothers do this all the time, but not Dylan. He would never reach out like that and if someone put their arm around him, he'd normally be super stiff and lean away. The photo of him smiling and relaxed and hugging his brother is one of my all time favorites. Anyway, I had such a wonderful time with them that day. A perfect day!

I love how excited Cam gets about everything...
the ride wasn't even going fast
.

Love it!!
