Wow, I can't believe that almost two whole months have ZOOMED by since I last posted. Seriously, where did the time go????

Since I last wrote, we had the first day of school. Cam and Gabriel were ecstatic.... Dylan, not so much. Yet at the end of the first day, they ALL came home smiling and happy and loving school.... even Dylan. :)

Cameron's first day of Kindergarten

Dylan's first day of 3rd grade
Me and the boys in front of Red Mill on the first day

Gabriel's first day of 3 yr old preschool

Bryson and Gabriel go to the same preschool

It is 12:30 am and I am still up baking cupcakes for Cam to take to school tomorrow for his bday. Can't believe it's been SIX years since he was born. Tomorrow I am making his bday cake. Speaking of Cam's bday cake... just tonight I was at Michaels buying stuff for it. I have a habit of overdoing it.... he wants a dinosaur cake... so what do I get myself into? Well, tonight I was hand-sculpting a volcano that will spew real smoke - not to mention that there will be a pterodactyl that will hover over (yes, over) the cake. It'll be a 2 tiered fondant cake with a shimmering waterfall that spills down the edge of the tiers. Yes, I'm freaking CRAZY! A total nut job! .... but I guess it's my creative side that is always up for a challenge.

After I bake the bday cupcakes and bday cake, then I have to bake cupcakes for the fall parties for all 3 boys... I think that comes out to like 70 or so cupcakes.

Tonight I still need to wrap Cam's presents and frost the cupcakes. Tonight I went out and bought him a few balloons and tied them to the end of his bed so that he'll see them when he wakes up. A bday balloon, a happy face balloon and a Spongebob balloon. I'll let him have a cupcake for breakfast.

As if October isn't busy enough already, Dylan has his heart set on a Hot Wheels costume. Not just a Hot Wheels race car driver outfit, but an actual Hot Wheels car. Instead of saying 'Sorry Dylan, pick another costume'.... I go online and research for hours and end up finding a cool design for an actual car costume made from a cardboard box (and lots of man-hours). Yes, I'm attempting it and yes, the headlights will really light up. Anyone happen to have a cardboard box I can have??? :)

Lately I've been volunteering every Monday for 2 1/2 hours in Dylan's class and starting tomorrow I will be volunteering in Cam's class on Thursdays. On Tuesday I volunteered in Gabriel's class on picture day. It was SO cute seeing Gabriel look all 'Ivy League'.

Our mornings are always so crazy here. Having 3 kids in school is a full time job... every morning it's a matter of finding out who needs library books, who needs to take in a snack, getting all the homework into backpacks, show n tell into Gabriel's bucket, packing Dylan's lunch, finding everyone's shoes, seeing who needs to return what permission slip, sending in school pic money, remember what day is 'wear red' day and what day is 'wear your pj's' day and remember Dylan's speech homework (on days 1 and 3) and what days he has a spelling test (day 6) and signing homework planners and signing tests... and of course I can't forget to send in the cupcakes!!

Today I managed to squeeze in a haircut.... after all, it's been TEN weeks since I had it cut! I feel 10 lbs lighter now!

This past Friday I decided that I was going to have a yard sale on Saturday (as if that's something easy to throw together). Friday night I was driving around in pitch dark hanging up yard sale signs and then I posted a craigslist and pennlive ad spent the evening gathering junk to put out in the driveway. Surprisingly I still sold a lot of stuff considering it was impromptu and 50 degrees out.

Chan has been busy working at his new job. He seems to really be liking it. Too bad the drive is so far, but I'm sure he enjoys the quiet time! Last weekend he took the boys to Lancaster to see his cousin's band play at a festival and then they went to Hands on House.

Dylan is still into collecting valuable redline Hot Wheels cars from the 60's and 70's. It's so nice because he and I spent a lot of Saturday mornings together at yard sales and flea markets hunting for treasures. It's nice quality-time for us to spend together. He just got his first 3rd grade progress report and so far he has all A's and B's. He is doing especially well in math, science, social studies and spelling. He sometimes struggles a tiny bit with reading comprehension, but I think he's just more left brained than right. I love helping out in his class and seeing how it all works. I'm learning so much more the second time through! :)

Cam is still obsessed with math and spends his free time playing on 3rd grade math websites and likes to rattle off math equations for fun. He can multiply such numbers as 50x10. Cameron is such a sweet, tender-hearted boy. I can't believe he's turning six. He also has a 'screen' obsession! ....tv, ds, leapster, computer, speak n math.... you name it, if it has a screen, he wants to be in front of it. Which is no surprise that he is being Mario for Halloween (from Super Mario Bros).

Gabriel has started preschool and really enjoys it. His obsession right now is trains...especially Thomas. I got tickets for he and I to go see the 'real' Thomas in Strausburg. They have a real train that looks like Tomas and he'll get to meet Sir Topham Hat and there will be train activities. He is going to be a train engineer for Halloween and wants to wear his train outfit when he sees Thomas. Our tickets are for Novemeber... not sure if he can wait that long. Every morning he wakes up and says he dreamed about meeting the real Thomas. He's so excited! He loves to play with trains!

Let's see, what else have I been up to? I've been freelancing for Higashi and Keystone Surgical and I also did logos for my friends hike up Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa to raise money for Downs Syndrome and I did a logo for a new local business (I'll also be doing their website & marketing materials). I hired my first Sweet Greetings employee. She'll be handling a lot of the national marketing. I am also adding ecommerce to the stork site. Customers will be able to order their business packages and signs directly off the website. I've been working on this for weeks....I'm finally almost 1/2 way done.

As of right now the house is a mess, but I did manage to get my fall decorations out and bought a pumpkin spice candle!

did I mention I'm hand-painting art for the bathroom?

So.... that's what we've been up to!
