So far we're having a wonderful (and busy) Halloween! I volunteered at all 3 boys school Halloween parties (and made cupcakes). I realized the night before the New Cumberland Parade that I hadn't even started on Dylan's car Halloween costume (I thought I had til trick or treat night... but then remembered at the last minute that Dylan's cub scout pack was going to be in the parade). At 8pm I started the costume and had most of it done by morning. I work best under pressure, so it all worked out.
Gabriel loves trains, so he was was a "ductor" (as he says). Aka Conductor/Train Engineer.
Cameron loves video games, so he was Mario.
Dylan loves Hot Wheels, so he was a Hot Wheels driver.
They all got to be their obsession.
Tues night was the parade that Dylan, Cam and Chan walked in. Thurs night was trick or treat. Friday night (tonight) was the Red Mill Halloween Party and tomorrow night is the Cub Scout Halloween Party.... then we're done for another year. Just in time to start preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years and all the celebrations that we'll be gearing up for.
Tonight at the Red Mill party Dylan won FIRST place for his car costume and Gabriel won THIRD place for his train engineer costume. Cameron wore a similar train engineer costume a few years ago and won also! Our boys sure know how to rock a Halloween Costume Contest!! It's especially impressive considering how packed it was with kids! Dylan was SO proud to win first place. It's all he talked about all evening "I hope I win! I hope I win!"
