More things they say.....

I had already posted tonight, but couldn't resist adding the newest thing Dylan said. The boys were taking a bubble bath and Dylan got bubbles all in his hair and he goes "Look at my white hair - I look like Mam!" Chan thought everyone would get a kick out of that! :)

Today I was talking with the boys about the months of the year and when their birthday's are. Dylan said that he wanted his birthday and Cameron's birthday to be the same day. I told him that their birthday's are far apart, but that the baby's birthday will be very close to his. He said that maybe the baby will come during his birthday party as everyone sings 'Happy Birthday'. I said that there is a chance that the baby could come on his birthday. I told him that he decided that he wanted to be born in the middle of the night (I went into labor at 2:30am). I told him that I was sleeping and that he woke me up and wanted to come out. He said "How did you know that I wanted out? Did you get a boo-boo?" I was surprised that he kinda knew that a baby came when the mommy got a 'boo-boo'. I said "Yep. Mommy and daddy were sleeping and I got a real bad belly ache and I went to the hospital and he was born." It's kinda cool that he's old enough to have an interest in the baby and ask questions and understands a little bit about what's going to happen. Since I have a scar from my c-section with Cameron, it's pretty easy to explain how the baby gets out. I think Cameron is going to have a harder time with the new baby than Dylan will. Cameron is in a major 'mommy' phase right now. He wants me every second of the day. He's happy just sitting on my lap doing nothing. Dylan's a mama's-boy too, but Cameron is still kinda young to understand about the baby taking my attention and he's not going to like it. I think as long as I keep both boys as involved as possible, they'll adjust fine. They're both very loving and will want to take care of the baby. They already love to take care of Bryson - wash him up after he eats, wash his hair in the tub, play with him, hug him....

I just can't believe that I'm at the 6 month point already (24 weeks). In a way it quickly snuck up on me, but at the same time, it seems like forever since we were heading home from the beach this summer and I found out for sure that I was pregnant. We just made our beach reservations for this coming summer - it's hard to believe that we'll have 3 kids at the beach this year! The baby will only be 3 1/2 months old.
