Dylan did AWESOME in his kindergarten musical. He is coming so far so fast! I didn't realize until the musical started that he had a speaking part. I assumed that if he said it at all, that it would be quiet and Mr K would have to repeat it. But then he not only said it, but he projected it loudly enough for the entire audience to hear! I had tears in my eyes. It was so cute and I was so proud of him! He said "And Boo Birds too!" (blue birds). He had to wear blue that day and when they sang about blue, Dylan got to go up and dance around. After the show he said that his favorite part was when they called blue and he got to go up and dance. I was shocked that his fave part was when he had center stage! Then tonight at Cub Scouts they asked all the new kids their names and Dylan loudly said his name. Normally he'd freeze and just sit there frozen until someone stepped in and said it for him.
Speaking of Cub Scouts, Chan will be the new Tigers Den Master for Dylan's den next year! Since it's almost the end of the school year, the kindergarteners are hanging out with the current first grade Tigers to get the feel of it and then next fall the current Tigers move on and the new den will be formed with Chan as the Den Master.
