I've updated the Kodak Gallery: http://www.kodakgallery.com/bryson
One day I was talking with Cameron about family (Uncle Paul is my brother, Aunt Sasha & Uncle George are daddy's sister and brother etc..). Then Cameron asked me "When you were little, who was your grownup?" I think he was asking who my mommy and daddy were. lol. Plus, he asked it as if people only have "grownups/parents" when they're little.
The other day I came downstairs and caught Dylan and Cameron on the couch watching tv with their arms around he each other. When they saw me, they both pulled away. It was so cute to see them in that moment - I wish they wouldn't have pulled away. They're not very buddy-buddy with each other. I hope they are some day. Right now it's rare to see them hugging.
I asked Dylan what his favorite part of kindergarten was and to my surprise, out of everything he did that year, his favorite part was his school musical. Who would have thought that Dylan would have loved the one thing in which he had to speak out loud in front of a whole crowd!! The kid who can't talk to the child next to him in class, loved having all his family and tons of strangers watch him dance, sing & talk! I think he truly loves the attention and he is ok if what he says is scripted, it's just when it comes to speaking on a personal level that he closes up.
Cameron amazes us. He can now go outside at night and point out constellations! I think he forgets that he's 3. Constallations are hard to see - you have to train your eyes and mind to see how the stars make up the pictures in the sky. Now he'll go outside and say "Look, there's the big dipper! It points to those two stars. And look, the little dipper!" Sometimes he needs to point them out to me. Then the other day we overheard Cameron in the backseat talking about evaporation... and he was accurate in his knowledge. I got the boys some new placemats and today Cameron wanted the one with the Presidents on it. Nope, he didn't want Nemo or the alphabet, he wanted the Presidents. Of course it was a hard decision because at first he wanted the US Map placemat, but then decided on Presidents. And yes, he still watches Antiques Roadshow and PCN Tours with Dylan. Did I mention that he's 3.
The other day I dropped the boys off at Sasha's where Mimi and Mam were watching all 5 boys. I tried to kiss the boys goodbye, but they were already busy playing. Finally I said "Bye, I'm leaving" one more time and Dylan didn't even look up when he said "No one cares." ...Break my heart! Geo Trax were more important than mommy. :(
Oh well, at least it was only temporary, when I got back he was all over me again like usual. :)
That same day Cameron informed me that he needed his 'foot nails' cut. I said "You mean toenails?". lol.
