HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Chan and I cooked our very first Thanksgiving dinner! We had it decked out with homemade fixins and fancy dishes. To our complete and utter surprise, it went flawlessly! Not only did everything get cooked properly, but everything finished cooking at exactly the same time...and exactly when we predicted! We're still pretty amazed. The time frame that it takes to cook the turkey had a 45 minute window of when it might be done so we weren't exactly sure when to expect it to be ready, but hoped it would be around 1:00. Lucky us, the thermometer in the turkey popped right as everything else finished cooking - 1:00 on the nose! Of course I have to give a big 'thank you' to Ama who wrote down all her recipes for us. The boys had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed having Mimi and Uncle George share it with us. Dylan and Cameron actually occupied themselves all morning with this neat little craft that Chan bought for them to make Christmas decorations with - because, like Dylan said, "Homemade decorations are the coolest!"

On Thanksgiving Eve the boys and I made cute
little napkin rings to set at each seat.
