Day before yesterday we went to Blake and Reid's house to play. They live in a really neat 1830's farm house on 250 acres. Earlier in the day we went shopping for Savannah's bday presents and had lunch with Ama.
Yesterday we went to Knoebel's for the day. We spent a total of $68 for all 5 of us for an entire day there... which is a bargain compared to Hershey Park which would have been around $250 for all of us for a day ($200+ for tickets, $10-$20 for parking and probably like $40 or so for food). Last year we tried to put Gabriel on a ride and he freaked out! They had to stop the ride and let him off and that was the last time he attempted getting on a ride. This year was totally different. He was riding 'big kid' rides and even rode the purple roller coaster that the other boys didn't want to ride. He had a blast this year and even rode such rides as the dizzy tea cups (which I can barely stand) and the out-of-control tug boat that spins around and the giant ferris wheel. On the way home we stopped for ice cream and then the boys fell asleep in the car.
Today we went to Savannah's 7th birthday party at Trindle Bowl and then went to the pet store and bought the boys another guinea pig! Apparently guinea pigs like to cuddle and play with other guinea pigs and they are happier in pairs. Sometimes it's tricky though when you have one like Patch who is older and HUGE and you mix him with a small, young one. The boys chose a black guinea pig with a brown splotch and he has white on his nose. They named him Spot. So now we have Spot and Patch. I wanted to name him Snickerdoodle, but Cam wanted Spot. So far Patch has been very dominating and I'm going to carefully watch them tonight to see if we should leave them alone in the same cage all night. Hopefully they become best friends once they get to know each other.
