Cameron misses the cutoff by 6 days!

Since we've been looking into what we're doing about school next year for the Dylan, I realized that the cutoff for each school year is Oct. 1....Cam's bday is Oct. 7. We were considering putting him in Preschool this coming year (only 2 days a week for 2 hours) because he'd LOVE it! He already loves playing with other kids and joining in on activities etc... With preschool, we could probably have them squeeze him in even though his bday is a few days off, but they wont make that exception with Elem school. If we put Cam in preschool next year, he'd have to go to Pre-K for THREE years before going to Kindergarten! He'll miss the Kindergarten cutoff by 6 days. Forcing us to put him in the Advanced 5 yr old Pre-K. I thought that if Dylan started Kindergarten when he was 6, then he and Cam would only be one year apart is school - which would be great! They could easily have a lot of the same friends and feel closer in age etc... BUT now that I found out that Cam wont be able to start Kindergarden when we expected, it will mean that the boys will either be 2 or 3 years apart in school - instead of 1. That's a big difference. It gets confusing with these cut off dates. So now we're not only confused about what to do with Dylan as far as Advanced Pre-K vs K, but now we don't know what to do about Cam. I thought he'd love to go to Pre-K next year, but I don't know if I want him going for 3 years! Being that I'm home with the kids, I don't want to stick him in pre-school for 3 years (even though Cam might love it).
