Dylan started camp the other day. It's 2 days a week for 4 hours each day. He gets to pack a lunch (which he didn't get to do in pre-k). He said that his peanut butter and jelly tasted better at camp than at home. Isn't funny how food always tastes better away from home.
Gabriel had his 1 month checkup last week. He weighed 10 lbs 12 oz. (2 lbs over the average weight for this age - he's eating well!). He's been getting diaper rash really bad. The dr said to put Neosporin and then Desatin on it and I can give him some Tylenol if it's really bad. He also has really bad gas, so they called in a prescription for him. The over the counter stuff doesn't work very well. The prescription stuff works great! For about 2 weeks, all he did was cry when he was awake. Now, with the new drops, he's very content. He is starting to track objects with his eyes. The boys will put a toy in front of him and he'll watch it with his eyes. I think I saw a real smile the other day. Of course it only lasted a few seconds, but I'm anxious to see more!!
As I was typing this Dylan was in the bathroom.
He calls out "I'm done!"
I called back "Wipe!"
Dylan said "It's messy. I don't do messy ones."
I said "I don't either."
...he paused and then said "Call Mimi!"
Haha. I guess Mimi is good at getting the 'messy ones'.
The other day me, the boys and mom went out to lunch. Mom sat across from me. Dylan tried to give grandma a bite of his ice cream and dropped some on her shirt and all over the table. Mom tried to wipe off the table and as she was doing that, I got a napkin, leaned over the table and started wiping the mess off her shirt........ that's when it occurred to me that I was cleaning her off as if she was one of the KIDS! ... and she was letting me! hahaha. I guess it was just instinct for me to start cleaning up when I see a mess - and it goes to show that when you are having lunch with 3 little kids, you can get so distracted that you LET someone wipe the mess off your shirt without even really realizing it. We couldn't help but laugh like crazy!
For Father's Day, me and the boys got Chan a frame and we took 4 special photos to put in it. I bought some poster board and cut out the letters 'D' and 'A'. The boys always call Chan "Dada". That's when I got the idea to make this...
