Just a few new tid-bits

Our first family photo with baby Gabriel

Grandma gave Cameron a container of broccoli (his favorite). He refused to go to sleep without his broccoli - so he slept with it! I forgot to go in his room and put it in the fridge, so he woke up in the morning hugging his "baby trees". He carried that old broccoli around all day - hugging it, kissing it... Most kids have a blankie or a stuffed animal - Cameron has broccoli! I tried to secretly throw it away because it was getting pretty gross.... until Cameron opened up the garbage can to throw something away and exclaimed "MY BROCCOLI!! How'd it get in the garbage???" He dug it out of the trash and carried it around the rest of the day saying "I like my baby trees".

It's so nice that Dylan loves fruit so much. The other day he got a pack of apples from McDonald's and suddenly got very excited. He said "It's my lucky day!! I have an apple with some stuff still on it!" - Not only does he love apples, but he loves when he finds an apple that still has some peel on it. Most kids don't like the peel, but Dylan gets excited when he gets an apple with some of it still on. I love how he refered to it as his 'lucky day'. He also loves to eat the crust around his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Gabriel loves to sleep during the day. Sometimes it's hard to wake him. YET, like most babies, he has a hard time sleeping at night. He usually sleeps 2-3 hours at a time. I don't mind getting up to feed him, but it's hard on the nights that he decides that he doesn't want to go back to bed. Actually, it's not that he doesn't want to, but I think it's more that he has a lot of painful gas and/or reflux. He'll be quiet and then he'll suddenly stiffen up and scream and cry and then he'll poop a little and calm down a bit - and then it'll start up again.
