Cameron's big day!

"I'm a big kid now!" That's the current theme song in our house. Cameron pooped on the potty for the first time today and he is SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!! Many of you may have even received a very loud and enthusiastic phone call. "I did it! I did it by myself! I'm a big kid now! My poop was SO BIG! I'm so happy!" He has had a major fear of even trying it and kept claiming that he wouldn't even try until he turned 3, but today I was being extra silly about it and placed some stickers inside the potty and asked him if he could 'cover them up'. Dylan was telling Cameron how to do it - step by step. He was very encouraging and kept praising Cameron and motivating him.. "You can do it!" The second time Cam went in the potty it was just him and Dylan in the bathroom together and I couldn't help but crack up listening through the door. Dylan was cheering Cameron on and Cameron was squealing with joy. Next thing we know, the bathroom door burst open and Cameron came running out full speed and started jumping around screaming with excitement....Dylan was close behind shouting "He did it!" It was so cute to see the two of them together. Cameron danced around doing a naked-boy-potty-dance for about a half hour. He was beside himself with pride. Grandma gave him a neat little cup and filled it with Tootsie-Pops and each time he uses the potty he gets one and once he gets all his lollipops he gets to keep the cup.

I'm so happy that Cameron finally gets the spotlight. It seems like there has been so much focus on Dylan with kindergarten and soccer and his lost tooth. Now Cameron gets to feel extra special.
