....ok, so this may not be quite as big of a deal as the "Cabbage Patch Frenzy of '83", but I am now one of those desperate parents in search of "THE" Christmas gift of their child's desire. Of course Dylan wants everything he sees, but when it came down to it he only put 3 things on his Christmas list to Santa.
#1 Remote Control Bus-Boat (one of those Duck boats that drive on land and water)
#2 Candy
#3 Transformers Constructicon Devastator
I have #'s 1 and 2 covered. It's #3 that is causing a panic. Dylan got a Transformer from Mam back in October and has since taken quite a liking to them. He got a book about them the other day. He said he wanted one for Christmas so I asked him specifically which one. It was a tough decision for him, but after we went online to transformers.com he found THE set that he wanted. He was bouncing off the walls with excitement. It said on the site that it was a Walmart exclusive for $29.99. Sounded good to me. Well, I went to order it and apparently Walmart no longer sells it.... but I can buy it on amazon.com for $80! I found a few places that had it for $50 with $15 s/h. I've already gone way above budget for Christmas and this was supposed to just be "one last gift"... I'm not spending $60+ on it. So now I have my eye on a few on ebay, but of course there's the stress of having to wait up to 5 days for the auction to end, plus not knowing how high the bids will go and if it'll arrive for Christmas. Dylan only asked for 2 toys from Santa - I can't disappoint him by not getting them. What did Santa do before ebay???

Gee....I can't remember what Santa did years ago when he couldn't come through on a special request. HOPE Santa can find it. He'll be so disappointed. He's already told me he's getting it.
Love A-ma
Yep, I got one for him off ebay. Cost me $50! Then the next day one sold for $25. Oh well. It could be worse, some sold for as high as $60+ a few days before I got mine. The closer it got to Christmas the cheaper they got - but the risk went up that it wouldn't arrive in time. Thankfully Dylan's is here already.
