Cameron has his heart set on Santa Clause bringing him 100 boxes of Tasty Cake Candy Cakes (little peanut butter and chocolate cakes). I told him that if Santa brings that many Tasty Cakes then he wont have enough room in his bag to bring him toys. Cameron then said "Ok. I'll take 99 boxes and some toys." He's quite the negotiator. He thinks he's got it all figured out.

I recently posted about Gabriel having strange obsessions. Today's obsession is a cheesy cardboard Burger King crown. He insisted on wearing it to bed tonight. We let him. Then he woke up crying a few hours later because it fell off and he wouldn't go back to sleep until we put it back on him.

Today we went to Fort Hunter Days which is a yearly outdoor festival on the Fort Hunter Estate in Harrisburg that focuses on life in the 'old days' and simpler times. Black smiths, churning butter, toys from the 1800's and early 1900's, hay rides, quill pens, sheep sheering etc.. It's a really great festival along the Susquehanna River.

We discovered a really great new way to do apple bobbing. Most places don't do it the old way anymore (the way that involves a big tub of saliva from everyone who dunks their face in it). They tied a string around the end of a ladle and had the kids put it around their neck like a necklace and they had to scoop out the apple without their hands. The challenge was very similar to real bobbing (without the spit).

We also discovered that Dylan is quite the hoop and stick player. They got to test out all kinds of old toys.
