OUCH

Looks like there is a chance that Gabriel will have a shiner on his eye for his Baptism on Sunday. He and Cameron were playing a game called Honey Bee Hop in the kitchen and they were jumping around and Gabriel smacked his eye into the corner of the wooden garbage can cabinet. It started bleeding and instantly started to swell. Thankfully it wasn't any closer to his eye (after Uncle Paul's accident we all fear eye accidents). He only cried for like 2 min even though it looked as if he should have cried longer. It looks very painful. We tried to put a butterfly bandage on it, but it didn't stick well with the Neosporin. We then gave him an Elmo ice pack and some Motrin for swelling. I hope it doesn't look too bad on Sunday. And anyone who knows Chan well knows that he has a matching scar next to his eye in the exact spot as Gabriel (except on the opposite side). Everyone says that Gabriel is a spitting image of Chan... now he looks even more like Chan. To really make the resemblance uncanny would be if Gabriel also got a Vanilla Ice scar in his eyebrow like Chan.

Tonight Dylan received 3 more belt loops for Cub Scouts. He got 'Collecting', 'BB Gun' and 'Archery'.


Dylan has "Robust" words each week that he needs to know the definitions of. I was impressed with the list. Here are some of the ones he's had so far. Don't forget...this is only 2nd grade:
