Cameron in preschool...

I wish I had my camera today! Today was Dylan's Christmas party at school. Normally they'd prefer the parents who are volunteering to not bring younger siblings, but at the last minute I didn't have anyone to watch Cameron. I had already promised Dylan that I'd be there, so I had no choice but to take Cameron with me. Thankfully everyone was very cool about Cameron being there and even let him participate in class. I'm amazed at how well Cam kept up with the 4 yr olds. He sat at the table and folded his hands for prayer like the big kids and he ate snack with them. It was so cute to see Dylan and Cam together at the table. When they were done Cameron took his plate to the garbage like the older kids. Then it was time to go to circle time and Cameron just went along with the others. He sat quietly and did everything the teacher said. Then Dylan put his arm around Cameron's shoulders and they sat together like that - best buds. Dylan was a whole different kid at school with his brother there. He was smiling and talking. Dylan's teacher said "Starting in the new year, we're enrolling Cameron into this class!" :) She was referring to how Dylan's personality changed just by having the support of his brother there. Then Cameron lined up with the class and did all the Christmas activities with the big kids. At the end everyone was holding hands and dancing. It was hilarious because Cameron was in with the whole class clapping and dancing and holding hands with the other kids....as Dylan just stood there and watched. I finally held Dylan's hand and got him to dance a little. It was just SO cute to see Cameron in school - and having so much fun! I almost wonder if I should enroll him in the 3 yr old class next year just because he loves it so much. The 3 yr olds only go 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. I was going to wait til he was 4, but I really think he would love to go. He seemed so grown up hanging out with all the 4 year olds. At the beginning of the day I was worried to take him because I thought I'd be spending my time chasing him around and keeping him out of trouble, but to my surprise he joined right in as if he goes every day. The other Dylan in Dylan's class just loved having Cameron there. No matter where Cameron went, the other Dylan followed. Anyway, the Christmas party went really well and Dylan loved having Cameron in school with him. The only problem is that when I go to drop Dylan off at school next time, Cameron will probably expect to be staying. I have a feeling he might throw a fit when I tell him he can't stay.
