Ho Ho Ho!

It's really cute how Cameron calls Santa "Ho Ho". Today I put a red shirt on him and asked him what color it was and he said "Ho Ho!".... I guess he thought he looked like Santa.

Cameron plays a cute little game that I call "Love you!" He'll run up to me and wrap his arms around me and say "Love you!" and I'll say "Love you!" and we'll go back and forth over and over and over again. What makes this extra special is that Dylan isn't as open as Cameron and doesn't say 'Love you' as carefree as Cam. I can probably count on one hand how many times Dylan has said 'I love you' to me. Not that he doesn't (of course), he just isn't as vocal about it. He's more into hugs and kisses than actually saying it. Both boys have their own special ways to show how much they love you.

Right now I'm playing with the Christmas gift that Chan got me (I don't think we've ever actually waited until Christmas to give each other gifts...we get too anxious). He got me an awesome new laptop and wireless internet. We're giving one of our other computers to Dylan so that he'll have his own...he's always trying to get on ours when we're using it. We got him a small desk that is just his size (and a flat screen monitor so that it'll fit on the little desk) as well as some educational computer games for Christmas. I think he'll love it. Of course now we'll probably have to deal with Cameron getting upset because he doesn't have one. But what else is new... they always argue over who has what.

Dylan had his second speech therapy session yesterday. He wouldn't speak at all to Ms. Ann (his "teacher"). He even started to cry because he wanted to 'whisper it in my ear' instead of talking out loud. He simply refused to talk - which I figured might happen. Finally I thought I'd do a little experiment. I said that I had to use the bathroom and I left the room. Before the door even closed, Dylan was chatting like crazy! That little stinker! He puts on a big 'shy' act in front of mommy, but as soon as I left he was talking Ms. Ann's ear off. I watched through the window and he was telling her all about Santa and Duke (our dog) and he was answering her questions and laughing. I have no idea why he acts so differently in front of me. It's like he gets embarrassed if I see him talking to someone he doesn't know well or if I see him having fun in a new environment. Who knows. I'm just happy that he opened up to Ms. Ann and that she got to actually hear him talk. Speech therapy wasn't going to do any good if Dylan wouldn't cooperate. The really crazy thing is that once I came back into the room, Dylan had no problem talking to Ms. Ann in front of me. It's like he's scared to take the plunge and try something new in front of mommy, but once he's done it, he's fine. Next week I'm going to periodically leave the room and come back every 15 min or so and see how Dylan settles in with her. I think this is going to be a great experience for him and he's going to make a lot of improvements with his speech clarity.

My next prenatal appt. is Dec. 21. It'll just be a routine checkup. My ultrasound wont be until January.
