First Day of Kindergarten!

Dylan had his first day of Kindergarten today! I can't believe he's in elementary school already. I am SO happy to announce that he had a wonderful first day!! To help make the day extra special I made him a special crown to wear that said "K - First Day". I knew that he would love it and I figured it would be a neat tradition to start so that I can get a first day of school photo and easily tell what grade the boys are in. I gave him the crown when he woke up and he wore it all morning - even to the bus stop. We walked him to the bus stop and when the bus came..... he simply got on the bus! :) There was no hesitation and no tears! WAY different than the first day of pre-k. Last year he screamed and bawled and kicked and begged not to go. It was horrible. Today he was smiling and running and playing the whole way to the bus stop. He got right on the bus and sat with another little boy. When I picked him up at the bus stop after school he got right off the bus with a smile on his face. He said that school was "neat". :) He's excited to go again tomorrow. He said that he played with another little boy on the playground - which is wonderful considering that he never played with other kids at pre-k. He said that he likes Kindergarten more than Preschool and that he likes his teacher A LOT better.
