Gabriel had his 15 mo check up today and just as I suspected, he is off the chart (+100%) for height and 95% for weight. Considering that he just started walking this week, my aching back was a pretty good indicator of his overly huge size. You would think that by working in a pediatricians office you would see kids of all shapes and sizes, yet when I walked in with Gabriel the nurse was like "Whoa, he's here for his 15 mo? He's huge!" 29 lbs 14 oz., 34 1/4 tall. He did NOT like getting his checkup. I had to hold him down as he screamed...and that was before his shots. He has full wax blockage in his left ear and 75% in his right. The dr said not to do anything about it for now and hopefully it'll correct itself. I was surprised that he wasn't supposed to get any ear drops or anything. She said that if it starts to bother him she'll have to dig it out, but doesn't want to do that yet. Other than that, all is well.
Tonight was Cameron's parent/teacher open house for preschool. Next week we get to take Cam to meet his teachers and then he starts school the next day. I already like this preschool way better than Dylan's preschool (for more reasons than I can even type here!) They'll even be getting a class pet....a hamster that they'll get to take turns bringing home. Cameron is already exited about that (as if a dog, several fish, a couple hermit crabs and a frog aren't enough). He'll be sitting at red table - his favorite color!
I found a treasure today. I was dumpster diving in Allendale... not intentionally though. I was picking Cameron up from Sasha's and noticed one of her neighbors had this adorable 1960's Wonder Shoo Fly rocking/bouncing horse in the garbage. I took it home and washed it down and figured it would make an adorable photography prop (or maybe I'll sell it for a few bucks). I played with some shots of Gabriel and my new trash-to-treasure.

I just got Dylan and Cam's soccer schedules. There are two Saturday's that they have games at the same time, at two different places. And most of the other days we'll have to leave one game early to get to the other. Not sure what we'll do. Chan and I both want to be at both boys games - and of course they'll both want both of us to watch them. hhmmm. Thankfully they approved letting Cameron play soccer. He missed the age cut off by over a month, but they were ok with it (I figured that by including the payment with the application, it would be hard for them to turn us away). I can't wait to see both boys in their uniforms. Cameron is on the Panthers and will wear the same kind of uniform that Dylan wore last year.
