We've been busy!

Dylan lost another tooth...two in one week! (If you're keeping count, it's his 4th one). He was eating grapes in the lunchroom at school when it fell out. He went to the nurses office and she put it in an envelope for him. His teacher wrote his name on a paper tooth and hung it on the wall in his classroom. This time for the Tooth Fairy Dylan sealed it in an envelope and wrote his name on the outside and she magically replaced the tooth with a dollar coin and glitter... without even opening the envelope! Wow! (Of course the secret to creating this magical moment is having a duplicate envelope).

The boys went on a fossil dig with cub scouts on Sunday...in the pouring rain. They came home covered head to toe (literally) in mud, but had some neat fossils to show for it! Tomorrow cub scouts are getting a tour of WITF tv station. Should be pretty cool.

Dylan invented 'Indoor Baggie-Foot Skating'... (see below - yes, he has Ziplocks on his feet!)

I've mentioned before that Gabriel is a climber. Today I turned to answer the phone while Gabriel was in his high chair eating. When I turned back around, he was standing on top of the table, leaning against the window (which is 2 stories up and open!!) I had horrible visions of him leaning against the screen as I ran to him. So, if you ever babysit Gabriel, I must warn again that you have to keep an eye on him. He will now crawl out of his highchair (and up on almost anything).

Cameron had his first soccer game. Here are some photos. There are some cute ones of him picking grass and him playing with a flag....all DURING the game. lol.

This was the first time Chan and Dylan got to wear their cub scout and den leader uniforms... Aren't they cute!!

I think Dylan is super proud that his daddy is the den leader

He looks so cute in his uniform!

Cameron had his first field trip the other day. His preschool class went to Paulus Market in Mechanicsburg. It's a nursery/bakery place and they have produce and gardens and animals and a corn maize etc. He got to pick out his own pumpkin and picked his own gourds to take home.

that he named "Tuggy Wuggy"

I got a magazine in the mail the other day that showed a playroom makeover. In it they had cubbies for the kids (like they have in classrooms - kinda like lockers for little kids). They were a great idea: One central location for all the boys' items (sneakers, sandles, flip flops, soccer cleats, shin guards, backpacks, water bottles, homework....) I saw that they made their cubbies from items from Lowes...which cost over $600! Ok, plan B, find cheaper cubbies. I looked online and with shipping everything was still very expensive. Then I got an idea! We had an old bookshelf with glass doors in it in the laundry room that was just holding random things. I thought that maybe, in some way, I could make that into cubbies. I forgot to take a 'before' picture, but I got one shortly after we started. The boys worked really hard on it with me. We took off the doors, took out most of the shelves, had grandpa cut some larger wood pieces, painted them, added some self-adesive shelf liner, daddy installed the wood dividers and mommy & daddy managed to get all the hooks in exactly has I had envisioned. The last thing I needed were some baskets. I needed a very specific size...what were my chances of finding the "perfect" baskets (considering I have NO time to shop)?? Well, talk about 'lucky day'!! I went to Walmart, and sitting right on the shelf were the perfect baskets! It was as if they were custom made just for my cubbies! Yippie! Anyway, I am very happy with the way it came out.

The 'before' photo (but it wasn't until after I already
took the shelves out and doors off that I remembered to take a photo)

Finished cubbie!
Now each of the 3 boys have their very own spot for stuff.
Their own shoe baskets, their own coat hooks etc..

Hopefully this will now avoid having to dig through one massive
basket of shoes, looking at the sizes trying to figure out who's
are who's. No more 'Where's your backpack?', 'Where's your water bottle?'...

Tonight Dylan said "When she has a baby -"
I said "When who has a baby?"
Dylan: "Georges -"
Me: "Georges wife? Your new Aunt Sara?"
Dylan: "Yes. When she has a baby, what will it be to me?"
Me: "Their baby will be your cousin. Like Bryson, Emmitt, Savannah & Charlotte"

So, George, now that you're married, even the kids are already asking about babies! lol.

Then I said to Dylan: "Some day when you grow up you'll meet a girl and get married."
Dylan said "Cora."
I laughed "Yes, when you and Cora get married and you have a baby, I'll be your baby's grandma."
Dylan said "I can't have a baby. I'm a boy."
I laughed again. This conversation went on and on.

We went to an outdoor festival 2 weeks ago and here
Chan is lifting Gabriel above his head with one arm as Mam watched

Gabriel watching someone spin wool. He's loving his new
mobility! Today HE pushed Cameron in the stroller the entire way
around the cul-de-sac (yes, Gabriel pushed Cam!)

Ok, I guess that's enough for tonight. I'm exhausted!
