Grocery shopping

I went shopping at Giant today for a TON of groceries and I never even took the boys out of the car! Now, don't freak out. I didn't leave them in a hot car for 2 hours while I shopped, I tried the new online shopping that they have. We hung out at home and the boys got to play as I ordered all our groceries online (all 80+ items!). Then we simply drove up to the door at Giant, they loaded my car and we were on our way! Very handy when you have 3 small children! There are a few things I'll do differently when I order next time, but all in all it was really nice. I was able to easily see how much I was spending and I avoided all the impulse buys we usually make. They even show you all the Bonus Buys online so that you can take advantage of the specials. It's only $4.95 to use this service - and the first time is free! I'm sure I'd spend more than that on impulse buys if I were in the store. Plus, time is money and I don't have a lot of time. Avoiding a 2 hr shopping trip is a nice time saver.

It's a whole new world for the boys. Can you imagine not knowing a time before car doors opened hands-free and where you shopped without ever stepping foot into a store. When we were younger we had a hard time comprehending black and white tv and no microwave, but now days, it's amazing that the kids will have a hard time believe that there was no internet. The world seems so small before the internet and we've only been using it for a few years - imagine having it your whole life!
