Dylan got his report card today... and of course it was excellent!! Here are Mr. K's comments:
Dylan has made great strides socially this year. In the beginning of the year he would not talk to anyone. Now there are times I have to remind him not to talk during work times. Dylan has become more social at school and it is wonderful to see. Dylan knows 61 out of 61 anchor words. His DRA score was a level 6, the proficiency level for Kindergarten is a level 4. His writing score was a level 5, the proficiency level for Kindergarten is a level 4.
He got 'Advanced' marks on almost half of the assessments!
It's amazing how high the expectations are in kindergarten now days. By the end of the year they were reading books, spelling words and writing paragraphs using proper punctuation. They were doing addition, subtraction, telling time (to the 1/2 hour), counting money and learning geography. It's not singing and nap time like it used to be when we were little. I'm very proud of how well Dylan did this past year - academically and socially.

A-ma is SO VERY PROUD of Dylan. He has definately come a long way. And he acts like he's really enjoying others now and proud of himself. Love A-ma
